This is essential for concrete workers as they need to be able to measure moisture content in the depths of a concrete slab and not just the surface, to be able to plan construction.

The moisture meter can also play a huge role within the gardening industry. There are soil moisture meters which analysis the moisture content in soil.
They can be used to find out whether plants need watering or not. Obviously when it rains, soil receives water but is it enough?
