Agratronix Portable Coffee Moisture Tester
UsingThe Agratronix Coffee Moisture Meter
To test coffee with this moisture meter it must be free of any condensation and surface moisture. This is to prevent obtaining any false readings. Coffee beans are irregular in shape and will not pack in to this meter in the same manner. So taking 3 readings and averaging the results will prove to be more accurate. The meter is most accurate under temperature working conditions of 16 C and 32 C.
To use this moisture meter turn it on to preheat heat. Use the select arrow to choose the coffee testing mode and fill the cell with the beans. Press the test button and the meter will compensate for temperature. After about 10 seconds the temperature and moisture content of the coffee will be displayed. Repeat this process 3 times to gain a suitable test average.
To Display Temperature In The Cell
If you want to display the cell temperature of this moisture meter press the up or down arrow on the slecet button until the word temperature is located and displayed. You can test this as well by pressing the test button before you load up the cell with your coffee.
To Average Test Results
When a test has been taken it is possible to store the data on this moisture meter in order to obtain an average reading. Once results are shown simply press the memory button. The meter will record every memory reading you input and show you the average result based on the number of readings that have been stored.
To Adjust Calibration
Each scale on this meter for grains can be adjusted up to 5% in increments of 0.1%. Simply select the grain you wish to test and then test it. When the result shows press the cal button and the moisture reading obtained will be shown and the current offset applied to that moisture range.
